2012 Brandon WARRIOR Warm-Up - July 14th, 2012
The Brandon Warrior Warm-Up is patterned after the Warrior Dash with a choice of 10 obstacles on a 2.5K course or 20 obstacles on a 5K course. This is an ideal event for those not quite ready for the extreme obstacles of the Dash but still want to be challenged, or those wanting to get ready for the Dash. The course has no mud but participants will be getting wet! What a blast!!
 Medals will be awarded to the 1st three male and female finishers in each age category!
 Registered participants will receive a t-shirt, water and a chicken leg upon completion of race!
Proceeds to be used for Brandon Park Development!
 Concessions available for purchase. NO ALCOHOL!
2012 Baseball & Softball
Boys and girls from age 4 through 15 years are welcome. This program has practices in April and May, games are in June and July. Registrations will be accepted beginning January 3, 2012. Please do not remit the form until after the start date. One registration form per child is required. Early registration runs from January 3 to February 29 for $60 for first child and $50 for each additional child. Regular registration is $65 for the first child and $55 for each additional player. Coaches receive a $20 discount for the child they are coaching. Baseball Committee Members will receive a $25.00 discount once the 4 meeting requirement has been met. Registration deadline is March 15, 2012. Participants not residing in Brandon Township must add a $10 non-resident fee per registration. A $10 late fee is added to registrations accepted after program deadlines.
We are now taking sign-ups for our 2012/2013 Fall & Spring Recreational Soccer Leagues. If you sign up now your child will be registered for both our Fall and Spring Leagues. Your child will be placed on a team and remain on that roster for both seasons. If you sign up by August 1st, 2012 the fee is $100 for your first child and $90 for each additional child. If you sign up after August 1st, 2012 but by August 8th, 2012 the fee is $105 for your first child and $95 for each additional child. Non-residents please add $10. Let our instructor show you how to better your backhand and add style to your serve. These instructional classes are designed to teach tennis fundamentals to beginners as well as improve the technique of those currently playing. Classes are geared to a wide variety of ages and abilities. Bring a tennis racquet, sunscreen and plenty of water to each session.
Join us at Goodrich Country Club for a four-week instructional golf program. The Instructor/golf pro will be teaching grip, stance, ball position, take-away, swing, follow through, club selection and course etiquette.
You won't want to miss this chance to learn the game of golf or fine-tune your skills. Proper attire is required. Golf or tennis shoes are allowed but hard-soled shoes are not. The class is for beginning to intermediate players.

Downtown Ortonville • 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
This one-day family event takes place in downtown Ortonville, and admission is free! Children and adults of all ages will enjoy live music and stage entertainment, magic shows, contests, a pet parade, inflatable attractions, over 100 vendors, great food, and the Ted Baker & Tyler Bonner Memorial Car Show. Free parking will be available at Brandon Fletcher Intermediate School, and free shuttle bus service will run back and forth from the parking lot to downtown Ortonville throughout the day.

Each vendor space consists of a 10’ x 10’ asphalt section in downtown Ortonville - the heart of the Septemberfest Midway! Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, etc. If electricity is requested, vendors must supply their own extension cords and duct tape.Sales of pre-wrapped baked goods do not require an Oakland County Food Service license, but please note that food sampling is NOT allowed. Vendor spaces may fill BEFORE the registration deadline, so register early to avoid disappointment!

A completed 2012 Septemberfest Food Vendor Application must accompany payment in full for the event. Food vendor registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited, so register early! All food vendors will have access to electrical power. Vendors must supply their own extension cords, tape, tables, chairs, tents (pop-up only, no stakes), etc. Food vendors must be in compliance with all necessary Oakland County Health Department regulations. On event day, each food vendor is required to display a valid Oakland County Food Service Certificate. Build a Park Club
Over 100 families, businesses and organizations have made Brandon Township Community Park a reality!
In 2008, the Brandon Township Parks & Recreation Department received a $75,000 matching grant through the Land & Water Conservation Fund and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. As a result of this award, a universally-accessible playground is now being constructed at Brandon Township Community Park. The grant will also facilitate construction of a motorized lift station for the park's 40-foot sledding hill, as well as nighttime lighting for those dark Michigan evenings! In addition, a paved pathway will connect the playground and sledding hill areas. Visit the Brandon Township Community Park page for more park information!
