Inspections and ProceduresAddress must be posted. Additional inspections or re-inspections may be required as determined by the building department.
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for all scheduled building inspections. All electrical, plumbing and heating inspections require a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Building, electrical, plumbing and heat permits shall be issued to licensed contractors only. Contractors must be currently registered with the township and must provide federal ID numbers, as required by state law.
Exception: Building, electrical, plumbing and heat permits may be issued to homeowner's as homeowner permits. However, homeowners are responsible for all work completed under the respective permits.
Permits may be transferred on written request by property owners to new contractors or to the home/property owners, from the original permit holder of record.

Brick InspectionMust show water resistant membrane, flashing and weep holes.
Fireplace InspectionWood burners: A dual inspection is required by the Brandon Township Building & Fire Department.
Driveway InspectionAll new driveways are required to be inspected by Fire Department. |
