Passport Information
Township residents may make application for United States passports at the Township Clerk's office. The applications take four to six weeks to be processed.  The costs are as follows:
 
Adult First Time (age 16 and over) - $135.00 per application. Two checks (money orders, certified checks) are needed to process the application; one check made out to Brandon Township for $25.00 and one made out to U.S. State Department for $110.00. 
Minors (under age 16) - $105.00 per application. Two checks (money orders, certified checks) are needed to process the application; one check made out to Brandon Township for $25.00 and one check made out to U.S. State Department for $80.00.
Adult renewal passport is $110.00 with one check being written to the U.S. State Department for $110.00.  No execution fee is required for the renewal. 
We request you call the office at (248) 627-2851 to make an appointment for your passport application ensure that your application can be received by the Clerk's office as it can be time consuming to ensure the form is properly processed to make sure that there are no delays to you receiving it.

Basic Requirements for Passport Application (1 of the following)

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Nationalization by one of the following 
· Previous passport

Certified Birth Certificate ( U.S. born)
· 
Naturalization Certificate
·
Report of birth abroad (FS-240, FS-545 or DS-1350)
 
Identification Documentation (1 of the following)
·  Valid Driver's License (temporary or learner's permit is unacceptable)
·
U.S. Passport (non expired)
·
Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate
· Military Identification Card
·
Government employee identification card or pass
 
One recent color photographs (The Township does not process photographs) 
· Must be recent color photos of not older than 6 month
· Must be 2 inches x 2 inches in size
·
No hats, head gear or dark glasses allowed
·
Must have full front face pictures only and be on a light background
