2012 Brandon Township operating BUDGETS

NATURAL GAS PROJECT
Consumers Energy is partnering with Brandon Township
on a 3-year construction project to extend natural gas to areas
in Brandon Township that are not currently receiving natural gas service.
446 residences are included in the first phase of the project.
Work will begin in June if 50% sign up by May 18.

A meeting notice has been sent to all residences
who fall within the boundaries of phase one.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 at 7p.m.
at the Brandon High School auditorium,
1025 South Ortonville Road.
If you cannot attend, a make-up meeting invite
is scheduled for April 26.
The application and a $200 refundable check
will be accepted at both meetings.

SPEED LIMITS ON GRAVEL ROADS

If you would like to voice your opinion regarding the current
55MPH speed limit on gravel roads
please send correspondence to your legislators and
Senators Marleau, Kowall and Pappgeorge introduced
Bill No. 0052 on January 20, 2011
Representatives Kowall, Crawford and Jacobsen introduced
Bill No. 4037 on January 13, 2011
Both bills have been referred to the transportation committee and would give
our township the ability to determine the speed limit on our gravel roads.
